TR-103110 100t Barber S-2-C Hydrashox Snubber RB trucks w/wheelsets Standard tread (pair)

This pair of trucks replicates the 100-ton Barber design produced with roller bearing wheelsets. Specifically, the pattern design is from the Gould Foundry Co. plant, Depew (Buffalo), NY. This variation has the Hydrashox Snubber placed in the central outer position. This offering comes with STANDARD 0.110" width tread wheelsets, separate brake beams, washes and screws.

The 100t Barber S-2-C Hydrashox Snubber with roller bearing wheelsets were a special type of truck design starting in the early seventies and eighties and beyond. This was a design to deal with the increase on cars that Exceeded Plate C or ones that have higher centre of gravity like covered hoppers to stop excessive sway.
